I had a weird dream last night that I was a werewolf and I was married to a Kitsune.

We had a daughter who looked like a black furred Fox.

Nothing special about it otherwise. It was just a rather plain domestic scenario, excluding of course the fact that we wer a werewolf, fox-woman and fox-wolf-human hybrid all with appropriate shape-shifting abilities :D.

I was getting slow responses, and now started getting 403s . . . emailed site5 support. FWIW, the database is within their limits, 1.3GB still, so that isn't it. Waiting on the reply. Sorry . . .

If PPMB's still down tomorrow I'll post the spoiler schedule for next week at Large and Small Screens like I've been doing the past couple of weeks.

Amen to that. I need to make pancakes, or bake something in the interim. I want to bake some banana bread, but I'm not eager to share with people who'll just wait near the over, argue about who got the bigger piece, and try to gobble it all up in five minutes.

In the meanwhile, just do what you can and know that we do appreciate your work. :D

Current status: the permissions were somehow changed on folder (aka directory) holding the site. I changed them back, asked site5 if this was an automatic operation, as the very same thing happened before the previous outage. Site5 is saying it's not them, and that we're all good as far as they're concerned, although they did try to sell us some web security thing-a-ma-jig (only $49.95 a year!):

And devote his attention to me.

Kara told him where to stow that shit. :D

So: proceed with caution.

Running a bit slowly here as well. Images weren't loading initially. Tried back ~30 minutes later and they were, but it's still slow.

Forgot to mention, there's a Ravenloft (D&D horror) book that might interest you, and it's also got the distinction of being the first D&D novel to introduce a lesbian relationship (though it's dark and tragic, as one would expect of Ravenloft). It includes a main character throughout who was born of a werewolf and kitsune and she displays the viciousness of one and seductive trickery of the other (she seduces women as well as men though it seems the one person she loved was a woman, even if she then later tries to seduce her adult son after the woman she seemed to genuinely love dies and then worships a male vampire, but that actually seems to be some form of mesmerizing that she eventually overcomes in a moral that sometimes evil is best suited to defeat evil), and I thought her character blending the two natures was brilliant even if the story was worthy of an Angst Lord...if you require happy endings then this is not the novel for you:

Okay, everyone - if you're here on this thread right now, it's probably because you also got this message when trying to long onto PPMB:

Quote:
Warning: include(/home3/thepaper/public_html/forum/common.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home3/thepaper/public_html/forum/index.php on line 20

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening './common.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home3/thepaper/public_html/forum/index.php on line 20

Fatal error: Call to a member function session_begin() on a non-object in /home3/thepaper/public_html/forum/index.php on line 24

Or, to put it in ways that we can easily understand:

Image

Yep, a bird must have burped near a power line near the servers that service the PPMB.

So, any ideas on what's happening?

NOTE: I also changed the name of the thread to better reflect things, and so that people can place things here so that PPMBers looking around can find them more easily.
