I'm not quite sure what for. I can think of a reason or two, but no one has said anything to me about it. I was just suddenly, as of late last night, greeted by a page that stated simply, "This Account Has Been Suspended" when I tried to log in.

The same thing appears even when I just try to go to the site without trying to log in. It won't let me access the site at all, from any direction. At least, not from this computer. I guess I might try one of the library computers, but why bother?

I tried to go to the e-mail account I used on that site, to see if there was any message of explanation. And I found I could no longer access that e-mail account either! Something about that being suspended too for suspicion of spamming or something like that.

I suspected some kind of hack, such as has happened a couple of times before.

The only way I could get back into my own e-mail account was to change my password. That proved to be more of a chore than it should have, and I didn't succeed at it until an hour ago. But I found no message(s) there from the board that I've apparently been banned from.

Oh, well, such is life, I guess.

Well, I just tried again a little while ago, and everything worked just fine. Everything's back to "normal," except I now have a new password to remember.

Abiding by the rules will generally let you escape bannination.

There you go again, with that accursed Aussie need to be logical and speak common-sense solutions to simple problems...

It's a cross I must bear.

Maybe I was unclear, but it seems that I was not banned from that board after all, for rule-breaking or any other reason. At this point my two best guesses are that it was all (1) some kind of inexplicable glitch, or (2) some kind of hack-attack/hijacking attempt on one of my e-mail accounts.

Oh, no, you were quite clear. Look at the title of your thread.

If you had left out 'yet another', there would have been no comments. Your own comment, if it meant only PPMB, would still count here (as far as what Deref said), and the fact that it was an accident (on the other board) still means that you were sounding as if you get banned from other boards with regularity.

'Abiding by the rules will generally let you escape bannination.' Whether from one years ago, or others more recently, Deref's point is sound.

You're also a religious person, so there's a third guess you may want to consider: that it was a warning from on high for you to ease up on the clutch, and stop behaving in a manner that could continue to put you in danger of being banned from online boards. ...
